I am not sure if I have written the story down on the blog, so here is the history of the basement up until this point. We moved in 3/17/12. It was a Saturday and our friends invited us over to their house for dinner the next day. We put Colby in the basement (like we would at our old house) while we were at church. When we got home he had trashed a bunch of stuff. We changed and left him in the power room, thinking he couldn't mess with anything in there- a pedestal sink and a toilet. When we came home, he had freaked out, and had chewed the pipe to the toilet and it was spraying water everywhere. Part of the main floor and a lot of the basement were flooded.
We didn't fix anything in the basement after the restoration company came and dried everything out because we knew eventually we would rip it all out and finish it.
